FARRA

DECEMBER 2019- JANUARY 2020

Farra, a Zeta Reticulan (better known as a Grey alien), doesn’t remember how or where they came to be, only that their first memory is of being in a perfectly square room with a perfectly hard bed with perfectly white walls, staring up at the ceiling. For many years they lived in this facility with no windows but lots of people with lots of questions. They treated Farra well as far as they could tell but they were left with bruises and bandaids every day from the constant tests and prodding they did. Farra learned over time that their body is heavily affected by the atmosphere, and cuts and bruises would be a common occurrence on their skin. These people taught Farra about Earth and expected answers about where they came from in return, but Farra had no information for them. One night several years later, after Farra had fully matured, they woke up in a daze being carried on a gurney, a blanket over their body. They dozed off and when they woke they were laying in a soft blanket of grass in the middle of the woods. Once again they had no idea where or how they came to be there but they knew this was their chance to live, something they had never had the privilege of feeling before. Among humans, Farra doesn’t fit in much, despite being able to understand and communicate using every language, granted to them by their ability to read minds. Their appearance often adds to the risk of being found out and being turned back into the government so Farra dyed their white hair to blue and wore what clothes they could gather. Because of their body and their molecular composition, earth’s gravity affects them differently than it does that of a human. They can often be seen floating off the ground to reach something, making it even harder to assimilate seamlessly into society. A few kind humans over the years have been known to house Farra despite these things, most of them heavily under the influence of drugs and barely noticing their presence, to begin with.
